Really good pizza considering the price and considering the other options in this area--much much better than Domino's. Students can get a large one topping pizza for only $6.99 which is really nice for a quick, cheap meal. A large cheese with banana peppers is always me and my boyfriend's fall-back plan for dinner.

Oddly enough I have never had Papa John's until last night and had hear some good things. Tired and in a hotel on business I decided to give it a try. I liked that they had small pizzas with several veggie options. Too bad I was pretty disappointed. Although in my opinion there aren't really any very good national pizza chains, I believe Papa John's beats that reputation by being even worse! There were a couple good things: - Super nice, friendly driver. - Small pizza sizes. - Veggie Options. - On-line ordering. Now the bad: - Took a long time to get here, 50-55 minutes. - Pizza was only luke-warm. - Looked NOTHING like the pictures on the web site. - Undercooked crust, there is an option on the website for well-done, choose this. - Veggies were REALLY overcooked, the British would be proud of this style of veggie cooking. Papa John's do you boil your veggies? Terrible. - Running, watery, flavorless sauce. Seriously, this is the key. Have you ever been to New York and had pizza there? Or Chicago? The sauce is the key! Overall I'd say to bad this place. There doesn't seem to be much good pizza around the Baltimore - DC area, but this is not even really worth it.

Absolutely the worst service ever ! Their standard reply to any inquiry is "on its way "....after waiting more than 1.5 hrs we heard a new one " the car broke down " .... And that "if we want he could bake a new one " ....and mind you they did not think it important to let us know that the pizza might be delayed or never come !

Unacceptable! I placed an order from less than 2 miles away for a small pizza and wings. After waiting 2 hours I called the location to inquire about the status of my delivery (there was an inch of snow on the ground so I gave them the benefit of the doubt). The woman who answered was unapologetic nor was she empathetic. She simply said he'll be there soon. My food never arrived and they've charged my account. The General Manager of this location will be hearing from me. The service here is pathetic! I'd give them less than 1 star if I could. Now I'm hungry and everything is closed!

Worst pizza place ever. Worst service. Woman who answered was disrespectful and rude and acted like we were a burden. She canceled my order because they were "closed"-meaning didn't feel like putting it in and lied about driver calling us. Go to Dominos fam not here.

Pizza be kicking me all over the place. They give student discount for 1 topping large for like $7.00 or something. U can't be that. Pizza is all dat & a bag of chips.

I can't have pizza. But when I want to endure the pain that bread will bring me I will order pizza for papa john's. This one delivers late, and is always consistent. Sometimes forgets my extra dipping sauce, but then has given me up to $5 off my next order. Piping hot, and always within 30-45 minutes. Friendly drivers who don't make you feel creeped out.

I placed an online order for a pizza, some breadsticks, and a soda. The order was ready promptly, and I thought everything was fine until I opened the boxes when I got home. I was mortified to see that my pizza had a quarter of it missing. Upon checking my bacon cheesesticks, I noticed that the order label on it had a different customer's name and was for something completely different. When I tried to check my pizza to make sure I was given the correct order, there wasn't an order label on it anywhere. It appeared that not only did I receive half of someone else's order, but I couldn't even determine whether the pizza I was given was anyone's order at all. I immediately called the store back to rectify the problem. The cashier was apologetic and said he must have grabbed the wrong box, but that is not an acceptable excuse for this mishap. Further, I was insulted that he asked me to come all the way back to the store to correct the error that was the store's fault. I have worked in a pizza delivery store before. One of the most important things I was trained in was to always check the order labels on boxes to ensure the correct food items were going to the correct customer. This exhibits a terrible lapse in judgment and unacceptable customer service. I've generally positive experiences with Papa John's before, but this location has been careless before. I placed an online order under the Redskins offer and when the delivery arrived, I had been brought and charged for two identical pizzas, although my online order clearly showed that only one had been purchased. I understand that mistakes happen, but this location has a pattern of carelessness.

It has been more than 3 times that it has taken them more than 1.5 hours to deliver a pizza. I live less than two miles away. I have never been able to get anyone on the phone at this store.

Was just awakened out of a sound sleep at midnight by a delivery guy ringing the doorbell and then pounding on both the front and back door and yelling. Would not give his name or company, but I walked out to see the Papa John's sign on his car. Telephone personnel put me on hold when I called to complain and never put me through to a manager.

For one of my classes, guest speakers came and brought pizza for everyone. This was a very nice gesture- until I tried a slice of Papa John's pizza for the first time. Their pizza is an insult to pizza. I knew College Park "pizza" places were infamous for butchering pizza, but Papa John's takes the prize. They make Dominos look like good pizza. Since when is pizza sauce supposed to be sugary (maybe sweet is the better description)? Two bites and I was overcome by nausea. I don't care how cheap their pizza is, they should be giving it away for free.

More often than not, the service from this particular Papa John's is acceptable. On multiple occasions, however, I've ordered food for delivery that has taken over an hour to get to my apartment. Traffic around here sucks, I get it. But then the delivery guy calls me and wants me to meet him outside to pick up my food. I order delivery and tip rather generously so that I don't have to leave my place to get it. Do your job and bring the food to the customer. You sitting outside on a busy street waiting for me to put my shoes on and walk 3 flights of stairs to do half of your delivery job for you is ridiculous.

I'm spoiled after years of local NJ/NY pizza, yes. But I do have a soft spot for Papa Johns cheesesticks and an occasional pizza. This location is awful. First order pizza chicken was cold, cheesesticks missing sauce, extra sauces were forgotten as well. Driver was sent back and STILL couldn't manage to bring three cups of sauce. Second order both pizzas arrived burnt. Called to complain and was offered a replacement order next time around. Called for the replacement order two weeks later and was told that because that particular manager was no longer working there, they were under no obligation to honor his promises. Third and final order. Chicken was supposed to be tossed in sauce, it was not. Cold yet again. Cheesesticks came missing the included sauces, soda was warm. When a call was placed to complain I was told to call back when it was less busy. Will have to go through my bank for a refund. Yikes. I live close enough to the Hyattsville location to get my orders from there now, although I'll lose out on CampusFood.com coupons.
